Dr. Trikella L. Nelson, LPC, NCC, PSC, YMHFA

Dr. Nelson has been providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults for over 25 years.  Her philosophy is simple… client-centered and solution-focused.  Her mission is to provide a safe place to help clients build and restore behavioral, emotional, and mental wealth by depositing practical counseling tools and techniques and biblical principles to promote healing, change, and growth.  

God has blessed her with the opportunity and passion to serve as a licensed therapist specializing in depression, PTSD, complex trauma, childhood trauma, grief/loss, phobias, youth mental health first-aid response, bipolar disorder, and family and relationship conflict, college and career exploration, parenting, and life transition transitions. She uses an integrated, holistic approach that aims at meeting the needs of the client.

She also consults and provide training in crisis management, college readiness, social-emotional learning, suicide prevention, and trauma-informed care.

Dr. Trikella Nelson

Dr. Nelson holds a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Georgia, Masters degree in School Counseling from Columbus State University, and a Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.

She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certificated Professional School Counselor, and a Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer. She is a devoted member of American Psychological Association, Licensed Professional Counselors of Georgia, and Georgia School Counselor Association.

Dr. Nelson also serves on the Executive Board as the Youth Director at a local church. She is the founder of C.E.C (Christians Educating Christians), where she teaches free monthly courses to parents and children on how to address issues facing our youth.
